CULINARY & FASHION day
Saturday, 2 August – programme is dedicated to culinary and fashion theme. In the early afternoon, at 14:00, a special cooking show and master classes will be held, hosted by an Israeli chef, Yan Gicelter. At 16:00, before an evening music and dance programme, there will be an opportunity to watch a unique fashion show. It will be attended by famous clothing and jewellery designers from Tel Aviv and Riga with their collections. Also during the daytime there will be a lecture and a discussion of the Israeli design, as well as the exhibition of the works by Shenkar Academy students. The works have been created specifically for the festival exhibition, inspired by Latvian traditional clothes, ornaments, architectural elements.

Concert by the musician Tal Kravitz
The Shuk, whose leader is Yoni Avital, is one of the leading international music bands from Israel. “The Shuk” has performed in over 30 countries around the world and excites and unites people of different origins with its music and diverse repertoire, which includes traditional, contemporary, ethnic, folk, soul, jazz, Jewish, Middle Eastern music and music from around the world. The group unites different nations not only for the sake of letting them experience Jewish culture, but also to help instil admiration, respect and mutual understanding between people of different cultures around the world. Since 2008 “The Shuk” has been giving performances at the leading music festivals, concert halls, community centres, private events, conferences, educational institutions and elsewhere.
Progressive metal band from Israel, which unites the influence of Jewish, Arab and other nations of Western Asia. Their songs call for peace and unity, particularly between Abrahamic religions – Judaism, Islam and Christianity.
Composer, drummer, singer and arranger AmirYa and his “Tribal Dance” band combine the sounds of the ancient tribal and modern electronic music, creating a unique, hypnotic and sensual musical adventure. It is not just a performance or a party – it is something that you have never experienced!

“ Dream Doctors” from Tel Aviv, that will be represented in Latvia by professionals Nimrod Eisenberg and Yaron Sancho.
“Maagal” dance band
Riga dance band "Maagal" has been established in order to promote Jewish dance as an important part of the cultural heritage. The band includes children ages 4 to 16. "Maagal" regularly performs, gaining recognition both in Latvia and abroad.
“Eilat” dance band from Riga
The dancers will give an opportunity to learn about traditional Israeli dances. The d ance group's repertoire includes a wide range of traditional Israeli dances that vividly illustrates diversity of the culture. “Eilat” is characterised by original costumes and the high quality of performance. GRAND Fashion show
The fashion show is the most important event of the fashion and cosmetics day of the programme. It will be attended by fashion designers from Tel Aviv and Riga.
“Crocodile” collection by “Fyodor Golan”
“Crocodile” collection was created by Israeli designer Golan Frydman and Latvian designer Fyodor Podgorny. The festival will showcase 2014 annual spring/summer collection that has been influenced in its creation by the culture of both countries. In 2010 the tandem created its own brand, making their debut with their first collection at London Fashion Week. In 2011 the brand won the prestigious “Fashion Fringe” award, which aims to discover new talented fashion designers of Great Britain and help them develop their professional activities.
Students of the Art Academy of Latvia and their collections
The fashion show will showcase works by the students of the Fashion and Art Department of the Art Academy of Latvia.
“RimmaRomano” collection by the clothing designer Rimma Romano
In 2014 “RimmaRomano” collection won the Gindi Tel Aviv Fashion Week award as a new and promising designer, gaining the title of “Israel's Next Designer” . Her performance was extremely avant-garde. “ RimmaRomano ” style is characterized by minimalism, with multilayered clothing, disordered components and playing with the length of the garments, for example, patently long sleeves. As a result the clothes are innovative but could be worn outside of fashion shows. Favoured colour is gothic black, but olive green, grey and white colours also appear.
Collection by the designer Mika Barr
Mika Barr is a student from Tel Aviv – the winner of the competition, in which Shenkar Academy students developed works of clothing design, inspired by the traditional Latvian clothing and ornaments, as well as architecture. The student has her own studio “MikaBarr” that creates original 3D textiles for clothing and interior decoration. Designer Mika can create both small-scale works with just few copies and high volume production work. She gains inspiration from both natural and man-made structures. Textile production is handmade and upon closer inspection surprises with its accuracy and thoroughness.

Israeli artist Anat Eyal creates unique handmade jewellery using glass, silver and gold. Each work is like a macrocosm that reflects the desire for beauty, passion for nature and attention to detail. Anat Eyal creates her work both for clients around the world and for changing exhibitions.
Collection by the jewellery brand “Noritamy”
“Noritamy” is a jewellery brand created by two designers – the jeweller Tammar Edelman and the architect Elinor Avni. The artists combine their talents to create an architectonically stunning works of art – modern, but classic jewellery that creates a powerful effect, but does not outshine the wearer. Dance show “We Intention”
(1 un 2 August)
Dance show “We-Intention” was created specifically for the festival programme, in cooperation with Israeli choreographer Ady Elzam and the dancers of “I-Dejas mājas” (in cooperation with Inese Upeniece, Lilija Lipore and Olga Žitluhina). Festival cultural programme performance will be shown twice – 1 and 2 August. The performance can be characterized by J. Krishnamurti's thought: “The more you know yourself, the more clarity there is. Self-knowledge has no end - you don't come to an achievement, you don't come to a conclusion. It is an endless river.”

Culinary programme activities offer an opportunity to discover Israeli national food culture. Cooking demonstrations by Israeli TV star chef Yan Gicelter in collaboration with "Rejwan Travel Service". Contests and surprises.
There will also be an opportunity to try and buy traditional Israeli dishes in the festival area.

Tour guide programme on the festival territory

Two professional guides – Boris Brestovitsky (in collaboration with “Rejwan Travel Service”) and Leonid Glanc (in collaboration with “METROCLUB Tours & Vacations”) will offer tours of the festival territory every day of the festival. Following a special tour programme the guests of the festival will have an opportunity to discover Israeli culture and world-famous people with ties to Latvia.

The festival tour programme and guided excursions take place in cooperation with Žanis Lipke Memorial Museum, located near the territory of the festival.
Tal Peleg’s stage makeup art workshop (only 2 August)

Israeli makeup artist Tal Peleg’s workshop and master classes. The Israeli artist Tal Peleg paints on the eyelids and creates amazingly detailed drawings. She uses only eyeliner and eye shadow in order to paint the eyelids, inspired by fairy tales, movies, food and her own emotions. Her particular talent for make-up has made Tal world-famous. Sheila Eizensharf’s Israeli dance master class (1 and 3 August)

Israeli dance master class will be led by Sheila Eizensharf and open to anyone. Sheila is a member of an Israeli dance group “Eilat” and an Israeli dance teacher, the manager of the project “Rikudei Am For the Whole Family” that offers young parents with small children to learn Israeli dancing. Sheila has participated in the annual Jewish Dance Festival for the Baltic Region “Inbal” and "Machol Europa Summer Course" organized by the Israeli Dance Institute. She also serves as a volunteer for the Riga Jewish Community.
SHOPPING AREA AND BEACH CAFÉ “Pludmale”

Festival market will be open every day of the festival, and it will be possible to purchase, try out and find out about the diverse merchandise from Israel and Latvia. For example, Israeli cosmetics, designer items, jewellery, etc. Both, tourism and business day as well as fashion and culinary arts day will have special offers and at the market as well as on the festival territory. The festival guests will have an opportunity to purchase travel packages to various destinations in Israel. There will also be presentations, competitions, etc.
A special festival atmosphere awaits at the “Pludmale” cafe, which will remain open at the Ķīpsala beach even after the festival.

Benefit concert at the Children's Clinical University Hospital with participation of the charitable organization “Dr.Klauns” and Israeli singer Tal Kravitz.
Clown doctors of the “Dr.Klauns” organization help to prepare children to endure physically and emotionally painful treatment process at the hospital. These doctors do not have medical education, but they have great acting and communication skills for working with children. They play different games and use therapy techniques to help children cope with anxiety and, just like regular clowns, make everyday life more fun. Clown doctor movement is a global public charity that was started in the U.S. in 1986. Photo artist Ziv Koren’s exhibition “Tel Aviv moments”will be held at the Daugavpils “Renesanse” theatre lobby (Vienības iela 30) from 18 July to 4 August. The exhibition can be viewed every weekday from 10:00 to 17:00.
